Do Ray-Bans Have a Warranty?

Does Ray-Ban Repair Sunglasses?

It’s recommended that you contact the retailer that you purchased your Ray-Ban sunglasses from if they need a repair, because the Ray-Ban guarantee, warranty, and repair criteria can vary.

If you cannot contact the retailer, you can file a service request with Ray-Ban directly through their virtual After Sales Portal.

Do Ray-Bans Have a Lifetime Warranty?

No, Ray-Ban eyewear does not have a lifetime warranty. The Ray-Ban warranty states that glasses damaged due to manufacturing defects are eligible for repair or replacement up to 24 months after the date of purchase. Defects resulting from wear and tear are not covered.

Does Eyebuydirect Offer the Same Ray-Ban Guarantee?

When you order through Eyebuydirect, you’re eligible for our 365-Day Guarantee. This means if your eyeglasses or sunglasses have a defect in the production or manufacturing, you can apply for a repair or replacement within one year from the purchase date.

If you have additional questions about your Ray-Ban sunglasses warranty, contact the retailer that you ordered from.

Can You Repair Scratched Ray-Ban Lenses Yourself?

We do not recommend attempting to repair your own scratched or damaged lenses or frames. If you believe the glasses can be repaired, talk with an optician or other eyewear expert about your options.

There’s a very real chance that you could do even more damage to your frames or lenses if you try to fix them yourself. Getting professional help is a much safer option.

What to Do If Your Ray-Ban Eyewear Is Damaged

It can be frustrating and inconvenient when your glasses become scratched or damaged. An expert can help you determine whether they may be fixable or not. Here are some action items you can take when considering a Ray-Ban sunglasses repair:

Check the Ray-Ban Warranty Conditions

If your glasses are damaged or broken, you need to determine whether it is due to poor handling, accidental harm, or a problem with the initial production. Both Ray-Ban and Eyebuydirect offer limited warranty coverage that only applies to defects caused during the manufacturing process. Damage due to wear and tear is not covered by either warranty.

Get an Optician’s Opinion

If you’ve checked the warranty and determined that you do not qualify for a replacement or repair, you need to make another decision. Are your glasses beyond repair or is it possible to have them fixed? If you’re unsure, you can ask an optician. They may have insight as to whether the glasses can be repaired or if you’re better off replacing them.

Order Replacement Parts

If your glasses are missing a part or need one repaired, you can order replacements through the Parts & Service page on the Ray-Ban website. The company offers a two-year (24-month) warranty on replacement parts in case of manufacturing defects.

As with other coverage, the Ray-Ban warranty for parts does not cover wear and tear or accidental damage brought on by the owner.

Consult your optician or another trusted expert for repair options. Attempting to fix your lenses yourself can lead to further damage, and the Ray-Ban guarantee does not extend to accidental damage that you cause.

Replace the Glasses

If the damage to your glasses is severe enough, you may need to consider replacing them. You can discuss your options with your optician or eye care professional before making a decision.

If you decide to replace your eyewear, Eyebuydirect has a wide selection of Ray-Bans and other great quality glasses and sunglasses to choose from.
